Flat Stanley

Someone showed up in our mailbox yesterday.

A small, flat man.
Flat Stanley aka Walker Browning.
All the way from Raleigh, North Carolina.

He met a flat girl named Ellen, she decided she wanted to travel with him!

We showed Flat Stanley a great night taking him to see Walkers old Neighbors.

Visiting the old house where Walker lived. (that was fun explaining to the new owners that I wanted to take a picture in front of their house with a paper doll!)

We went to the Horseshoe to see where the Buckeyes play.

& we even saw Bruits!

Flat Stanley is soon going to be on his way to Florida, the kids were happy he came to visit. It was good, free entertainment for the night!

A is for APPLE

It's official.....fall is here! We are one day in & we did one of our favorite fall traditions, apple picking.

For the apples, yes.

But mostly for the pictures.

Football, jeans, sweaters, crisp air, pumpkins, the smell of fire places.....& apple picking. Truly my most favorite season of all time.

I love watching my family as we wander aisle through aisle of trees...picking some apples.....tasting others. Their excitement of finding the perfect one.

Happy Fall ya'll

Get in my way & I will organize you....

 I LOVE to organize.

My family does not like to organize.

To make things easier for my family (but mostly for me) I am re organizing the entire house. If everything has a place & there is a place for everything.....I am hoping our days will start to go a bit smoother.

When 6 people get things out but only 1 person buts them away...it makes it hard to stay caught up. I am hoping if I making things fun & clever, my kids might start to enjoy putting things away in the right place too. Up for all idea's from the playroom to the kitchen...you name it & I will take your idea's.

Have you ever seen so many hair bows?!

Oh Dee W Ieye...how I love my new Tupperware!

There is a whole basket for wine accessories & a whole basket for bottle openers...hmmmmm

Ahhh.. a place for everything.

Now off to my next project!

Zzzzzzz......

He gave up naps long ago....

but now that he is in school, it is the right time of day & he is sitting on the couch it is almost a

guarantee he will CRASH.

♥ him so much.

Bittersweet Wednesday.....

It was here...my bittersweet Wednesday.

Time to my self, for the 1st time really ever vs. letting my last baby who is growing oh so fast out of my site for 2 1/2 hours. We walked in while another little one was melting down.....this only made every child after that melt down too, including Ruby. I passed her off & went outside to my new Wednesday role...the drop off line, door opener so all the little ones can get out of there cars & walk into school.

After my duties were done....I quietly peeked into Ruby's room, where not a cry was heard.

She was fine. breath out...

I celebrated my 1st 2 hours off with a coffee with a great friend. Before I knew it the time was gone & I was rushing back to hear about all the things they did while they were away from me.

What do you do on Friday nights?

Date night...maybe a bar or 2. Club if your feeling crazy. ;)

Nahhhh...... how about marching in a Homecoming parade & passing out information for the school levy.

Funny, Mark & I had kids very young. I am sure some people thought too young. But we both had finished school & it was what we wanted, our next step in life. 4 kids, 6 years later....it is a Friday night & we are working on helping pass a levy so that our children have the same opportunity we did when it comes to education.

& we wouldn't want to spend our Friday any other way.

Oh Wednesdays....

2 1/2  hours.......

What will I do with this never seen before 'morning off'?!

Today was just our sneak peak as mom's stayed for a short visit with the little ones.
Ruby will be off making new friends at MMO (Mom's Morning Out) every Wednesday morning.

Gym
Run
Krogers
31 work
House/laundry

So many things that could get done in the window! I am excited about the opportunity!

& then there was one

Another BIG day in the Supelak house as Gracie & Sterling started preschool today! We took our traditional 1st day of school pictures & they were on their way.  I am lucky in that my kids have never been 'one of those kids' that they have to pry out of the car in the drop of line. Mine jump out & don't look back. Great that they are so confident, but at the same time I want them to miss me just a little!  ;)

With just Ruby by my side all morning, I am already seeing the amazing time we are going to have together. How easy it was running errands with one. She followed me room to room as we made beds, my little mini me, my shadow. I am busy looking into story times & play groups as we enter this exciting time that the 2 of us have never had before together.

I can already see that this is going to be an amazing year!

My view....

from my rear view mirror.....

My little chickadees.

Today I looked back there &  everyone was smiling, with their hands to themselves, singing to the radio.
Today is going to be a great day, I can feel it.
Happy Friday!

Potty Trained.......CHECK!

Potty training is a major milestone....& by that I mean for mom's, of course! Any mom that potty trains a child should be given a medal of honor in the amazing accomplishment!

Whether....

Following a book / plan
Setting timers
Potty Training Bootcamp
Incentives....aka bribery ;)

What ever your floats your boat......you did it! You child can now go pee pee & poo poo in the potty!  No more diapers, no more crazy looks from people that question why your child is still in a diaper & they can go to preschool!

Whoot Whoot! We made it, just in the nick of time! Preschool starts on the 10th & today I would say that it is finally official, WE ARE POTTY TRAINED!

Now to only break the new to Sterlings teachers that he removes all of his clothes every times he goes!

Great example, today when I found him in a super man cape & nothing else....his clothes in a pile by the potty.  Good Luck Mrs Yokum & Mrs Mesaros, he is all yours! :)

Labor Day 2012

We spent this 3 day Holiday weekend doing nothing more then hanging out as a family, the way it should be spent!

Lazy days of being in our pajamas till noon....(yes she has Sterlings underwear on over her pajamas, with her silky hanging on her like a cape!)

The traditional party in the cul de sac spent with our favorite friends & neighbors the O'Neals.

Hope your Labor Day was spent with your family & friends!
