So what do you do with the last day of August hitting 97 degrees? You make homemade ice cream, of course!

mus·tache - (my favorite out of the 5 examples)  something resembling a mustache, as food or drink adhering to the upper lip: a mustache of milk.

Thirty One had PAC (Presidential Advisory Council) in town this week.....& still unsure of the reasoning behind this....my husband order mustaches for them all to wear. He finally brought 1 extra one home so the kids & I joined in on the fun! Who needs Hundreds of dollars worth of toys when a cheep, furry little mustache can bring so much joy!

Like the countdown for Christmas…it has come & is gone in a blink! The day we were waiting for to share the wonderful Dee W Ieye with our friends.

 Truly a carefree, laugh till your gut hurts, smile till your face can’t take it anymore, eat drink & be merry kind of night.

Dear Eleanor

Just like the name we gave you, you are old for your age.

Your 1^st day of 1^st grade is here & you are more than ready to be away from me for 7 hours at a time 5 days a week. 

But, am I?

I can’t wait to hear of your day, your teacher, new class room, friends in your class….& of course eating LUNCH at school! 

 It is here our full days together have come to an end, you wont see me cry…though my heart is sad.

T- Minus 6 hours till I get to hear about your full day away from the nest! Love you.

Trucks Balloons & Bikes...oh my!

Summer is coming to an end & we are desperately trying to hold on to every last minute of it. Tonight we did something that we have NEVER ALL done as a family. 

We went on a bike ride. 

And I totally thought of this quote:

Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving ~ Albert Einstein 

......as I  held on for dear life.....white knuckles,  wobbling back & forth. My 6 year old whizzing past me with no fear. While riding I realized it had been 17 years since I have been on a bike. Wow. After realizing that, I feel like I did pretty darn good!

So we celebrated our 1st family bike ride with an ice cream!

Does it get any better then this? A little boy's slice of heaven!

...sure the girls had fun too......but this was the bees knees for Sterling.

We can not forget the Balloons! We were there for 4 hours of heat & 20 minutes of Amazing Balloon take off. 

 

 & we would do it again.

Whoohooo! My 1st blog post!

Why I decided to start blogging.....

I started using Facebook back in August of 2009 because I was a stay at home mom who was stuck in the house craving the outside world.  I joined facebook because it gave my an escape everyday. I felt like I was leaving the house. I suddenly knew what people where doing & was in touch with more people then I had been in touch with in high school. It was a wonderful escape from being 'stuck' at home every day. I soon fell in love with it & started using it to document my daily life.

I have come to realize that my life is not meant for all to see & many people may not appreciate my post, as I use my post almost as my daily diary of what happened  in my crazy world with 4 kids.

I am staying on Facebook because lets face it, I am a snoop!

But my blog is for me & the people that love myself & my family!
